Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get to the hotel from Denver International Airport (DEN)?
Shuttles run regularly from the airport and are about $30 one way to downtown. Taxis average about $50. Lyft and Uber can pick up at the airport.
By train it’s about $10 one way. A train runs from the airport to Union Station, which is a short 2-block walk to 16th Street. There you can board one of the free buses that loop through the pedestrian mall. Hop off at Curtis Street, and the hotel is about one block away.

What should I bring to wear?
Dress for daytime sessions is business casual. We’re in a hotel, so layers may be helpful as temperatures can vary from room-to-room. For the Polly Bond Awards banquet on Thursday evening, many people dress up, either a lot or at least a little.
But the right clothes are the ones that make you feel comfortable. You’re among friends!
What will the weather be like?
This year, late April and early May in Denver saw daytime temperatures that varied from 48 to 70 degrees. A jacket would be wise to have for evenings.
What is the Wednesday night dinner roulette?
When you pick up your conference packet at the hotel, you will have the chance to sign up for Wednesday evening dinner (on your own) at one of several area restaurants, with a variety of cuisine and prices.
This makes sure that if you’re attending for your first time and don’t know anyone else, or haven’t been for a while, or just want to meet new people, you can spend the evening with fellow communicators enjoying a good meal and lively conversation. And – it’s optional, for those who need some down time.
Do I need to bring cash for any reason?
There are two places where you may need some, or find an ATM. We will take an offering during the opening Eucharist on Tuesday evening (checks will also be fine), and before the Polly Bond banquet on Thursday evening there will be a cash bar.
What happens if my plans change and I can’t attend the conference after I have registered?
You can cancel your registration up to 30 days before the conference for a full refund. If you cancel between 14 and 30 days prior, you will receive a half refund.
