Need to Know

How do I get to the hotel from the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC)?

The nearest airport to the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel is Will Rogers Airport (OKC), located just 10 miles away. While the hotel does not provide shuttle service, transportation options include Uber and Lyft. Alternatively, Airport Express offers service for $28 one way or $58 round trip (reservations required: 405-681-3311). Plan ahead to ensure a smooth arrival.

Other transportation options:

Subway Station: Century Center
Train Station: Santa Fe Depot

OKC Streetcar

We’ve partnered with OKC Streetcar to provide unlimited complimentary rides for CommsCon25 attendees on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the conference. The streetcar runs a convenient loop through downtown Oklahoma City, making it easy to explore and travel between venues. Just show your CommsCon25 name badge to the driver—no ticket needed.

For those attending the Opening Eucharist on Tuesday, the streetcar stops near St. Paul’s Cathedral, offering an easy alternative for anyone who prefers not to walk.

What should I bring to wear?

General dress code: From casual to business casual. Regardless of the temperature outside, the temperature can vary in the meeting rooms of the hotel. Layers are very helpful!

Thursday evening: Dress to impress for the Polly Bond Awards – Gatsby Style! Think 1920s glamour, glitz, and celebration

Thursday Lunch at Riversport: Sporty, weather-appropriate clothes (no flip-flops!), bring sunscreen, a towel, and a change of clothes if you plan to get wet

What will the weather be like?

Mark Sessing, a seasoned Radar Meteorologist with the National Weather Service, is also a devoted parishioner and choir member at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. During the Episcopal Communicators Conference in Oklahoma City, Mark and his team will be available to offer real-time support and guidance should any weather-related concerns arise.

Severe weather is not uncommon in Oklahoma during April and May, with April typically being the peak month for strong tornadoes. That said, any direct hits to the Oklahoma City metro area are very rare. Most storm systems tend to track either north or south of the city. Both the Cathedral and the Sheraton Hotel have designated storm-safe areas for shelter, offering additional peace of mind.
